The Jupiter Chronicles Makes Semi-finals!

Hi Friends!

I hope that you are all doing well. I’ve been a little behind on posting something so I wanted to catch up and say hello. I hadn’t had to mention that we made it as far as the semi-finals in the “New Voices in Animation” Contest which, considering it was a global contest, I’m very grateful for. I’ve been busy submitting screenplays for coverage and I’m excited about the results I’ve received so far.

To explain, an industry executive will grant the writer one of three ratings: a “pass” which is very common in the industry, a “consider” which in entertainment circles is what most receive and are able to pitch their scripts once they reach this rating and then a “recommend” which means, that executive will put their reputation on the line and recommend this writer to their circles.

I’ve been blessed to receive three “recommends” and one “consider”.

I had not mentioned the Homeless project because it happened very quickly. One night, I had a dream with an entire storyline contained within. I woke up the next morning and wrote the story out and completed the treatment that week.

Here’s the logline:

In a city plagued by forgotten promises, an otherworldly stranger has eight hours to find refuge for one of its forsaken or be condemned to an unwanted fate on Earth.

Right now, it’s written as a short film but I’m in the process of expanding it into either a feature or a limited series. I’ve also added a page on the website that lists screenplays that are ready. You can check those out here: https://leonardoverse.com/screenplays/

That’s all I have for now. I hope that all in your family are safe and healthy and that every creative endeavor that you put your hand to be blessed beyond your wildest dreams. Whatever dream you have, I pray it come true and be a blessing to others.
