About the Author

Leonardo Ramirez is an award-winning screenwriter, author, and voiceover actor of Puerto Rican descent whose work has earned recognition from Stage 32, Screen Craft, Barnstorm, Inroads Fellowship, Nashville Film Festival, and The Red List, where his short screenplay HOMELESS ranked #1 in fantasy. A 4th-degree black belt in Karate and a brown belt in American Bushido Kenjutsu, he brings a warrior’s discipline and passion to storytelling, specializing in expansive, soul-stirring narratives that explore family, faith, and the human condition. Born in the Bronx and rising from poverty and homelessness, Leonardo now lives with his wife Kristen and their daughter Mackenzy in a suburb of Nashville, Tennessee. Together with his daughter, he collects comics and action figures—and yes, she swings a sword too. A lover of sci-fi, superheroes, fantasy, action, pie, and plantains (“No, they’re not bananas”), Leonardo continues to build imaginative worlds while leaving an indelible mark through timeless storytelling.
