Something to Remember for the Holidays

Share

Hey Peeps:

As I remember my dad over the holidays, I think of all the years that were lost without each other’s company.  Sadly enough today, as the holidays approach, I am seeing reports that some are actually uninviting relatives over for Thanksgiving because they voted for someone other than the host’s candidate.  I find this saddening because for most of my twenties, my father and I did not see each other. The reasons for this was not political but there were elements of pride and stubbornness on both of our parts.  Even though we repaired that relationship, we simply could not get back the years that were lost forever.

No matter what is going in our government, remember that the only thing you can take with you are your relationships.   Don’t waste the precious little time that we have here on this earth fighting over something that is temporary.  It’s just not worth the loss.

I hope that you and yours have a wonderful Thanksgiving.
