Hope is healing…

Hope can be healing. Looking ahead has always been healing for me. Growing up poor and fatherless, I unwittingly developed a habit of forgetting the past and latching on to whatever sliver of hope I could find. That hope, was to some day have a family that I could enjoy and call my own. One that I could set a joyous tone for and leave yesterday behind as best I could. This holiday season, some of you are fatherless. Some of you are hanging on by a thread, praying for Christmas to be over and done with so that the pain of an absence is not so overwhelming.

A Christmas message.

During the first few years of our young family, we encountered hardship. But now, when we look back at the videos we made during those tough times, it’s hard to tell those times were rough. We danced in our one-bedroom apartment to the pre-programmed tunes on a keyboard. Fun times.

So whatever circumstance you’re in, I want you to know one thing.

Whether you feel it or not, you are loved. Your story is not finished. It is not over.

My family and I celebrate Christmas. And yes, we do know that Jesus was not born in December, we chose to celebrate a life given for us so that we can hope again.

My prayer for you is that you will grab on to hope and hold on tight. May God bless you with a hope and a future.

Merry Christmas!

Have an awesome Christmas and a grand New Year!

Mucho love,

~Leonardo
