Come see us at The Adventure Science Center Solar Eclipse Festival!

The Adventure Science Center in Nashville will be hosting a viewing party for the total solar eclipse on Saturday, August 19 and Sunday, August 20 and we will be there! We’ll have copies of The Jupiter Chronicles as well as Steampunk props that your kids can have their picture taken with. Janet Ivey of Janet’s Planet will be hosting the event and has kindly invited us to attend. Huge thanks goes out to Sharilyn Grayson for connecting us! The festival will have activities for kids to participate in and learn from.

What is a total solar eclipse?

A total solar eclipse happen when the Moon completely covers the Sun, and it can only take place when the Moon is near perigee, the point of the Moon’s orbit closest to Earth. You can only see a total solar eclipse if you’re in the path where the Moon’s casts its darkest shadow, the umbra.

If you’d like to learn more, visit the festival website here.

Hope to see you there!
