About the Author

Leonardo Ramirez is an American of Puerto Rican descent. He is a screenwriter and an award-winning author of science fiction and fantasy novels. His screenplay, THE JUPITER CHRONICLES was a semi-finalist in the “New Voices in Animation” contest and is currently in the top 18% on Coverfly.

As a martial artist, Leonardo has a 4th degree black belt in Karate and a brown belt in American Bushido Kenjutsu, the study of the katana or samurai sword fighting. With an inspiring and unpretentious approach, Leonardo’s writings are characterized by his imaginative and expansive nature transporting readers into new worlds and realms of wonder.

He is faithful to the power of narrative and believes stories have the ability to dissect hearts and broaden horizons while uplifting the human spirit. Eschewing the trappings of trends and fads, he has carved a path guided solely by the conviction that story alone is the heart and soul of any creative endeavor.

Through his extraordinary journey, Leonardo has proven that even from the most challenging circumstances one can not only heal, but, rise above to create something remarkable. Leonardo Ramirez lives with his wife Kristen, their daughter Mackenzy in a suburb of Nashville, Tennessee, along with their two dogs, Duchess and Tinkerbell.
